2006 “Star”
Performance Program
Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art that has existed for over 2,000 years.
Tae Kwon Do is more than just a sport, it is a way of life.
To provide incentive to our young students to learn the basic principles of
Tae Kwon Do, we’re offering an opportunity to earn recognition for being “Star”
Performers in both class attendance and behavior.
Master Rho and Class Instructors will be awarding “Star” Performance Coupons
for students in attendance that demonstrate behavior consistent with the basic
principles for Tae Kwon Do: Respect, Discipline, Politeness, and Effort.
Students are advised to save 10 coupons. After earning 10 coupons, Master Rho
will exchange them for one (1) star patch. This patch may be worn proudly on the
student uniform in recognition of "Star" performance!
Behaviors for the Dojang
 | Always take the initiative to greet the instructor when you enter (Stop.
Bow. Say Hello Sir/Ma'am.) |
 | Be early - at least be on time - for class. If late, stand to one side and
request permission to join. Wait until permission is granted. |

willing to instruct lower belts. |
 | Do not ask to be excused to the restroom or to get a drink during class.
In an emergency, ask permission to leave class. |
 | Do not eat, drink, or chew gum in the Studio. |
 | Accept criticism gracefully. Do not talk back. |
 | Do not discuss things that do not apply to Tae Kwon Do. |
 | Speak correct English. Do not use slang. |
 | Do not engage in horseplay while in uniform or at any inappropriate time
or place. |
 | Do not show off with Tae Kwon Do outside of the dojang. |
 | Be helpful to others. |
 | Try your best in class to learn new things! |
